Awakening the Buddha Within

This was a very good book for someone who wants to learn about Buddism in a very simple way. It covers the important stuff in depth but puts it in a language you can easily understand and it's very eloquent. In my opinion, Buddism is not really a religion at all but more of a state of being. I found that anyone can apply the principles in the book to any spiritual practice. It reminds me a lot of the 12 steps which has become very important to me in the last year.
The Buddha was just a normal man who had a nice life but just decided to leave his family and go meditate in Tibet, where he found a lot of intelligent thoughts and then shared them. It's all about being in the present moment fully, which is a very hard thing to do for me, but I have found it very easy to apply. Even in a short time I have found my life calmer, more relaxed, and find it easier to cope by having a Buddism practice.

Confessions

This is the 4th book in the Private Series by Kate Brian. Reed just wants things to go back to normal at Easton but when Josh got arrested for the murder of Thomas she knows he is innocent. She does everything in her power to prove that he is innocent and she unburies some secrets along the way. Thomas is eventually found innocent and returns to Easton. Reed then finds out that her friends had tortured Thomas in the woods the night he was murdered. She discovers who the murder is but I am not going to be a spoiler. You will have to read the book to find out. It was a nice ending and I am glad that you discovered who killed Thomas.

This is the book number 3 in the Private Series by Kate Brian. Everyone at Easton Academy is losing their minds over the death of Thomas. He may have been a big mess by selling drugs and always getting in trouble but a lot of people cared for him. Reed starts to develop feelings for Thomas's roommate Josh. When everyone goes home for Thanksgiving break Reed stays on campus to avoid her family and things heat up between her and Josh. But shortly after he is arrested for the murder of Thomas and Reed is determined to find out who really did it because she doesn't believe that he did it.
