Until Unity

It’s clear from Scripture that God passionately desires supernatural unity within His Church. Unity is what Jesus prays for, what He commands, and what He says will be our greatest witness to the world.

If unity is so important to the heart of God, why is the Church one of the most divided groups on earth? While many believe doctrine is at the root of the problem, Francis argues that the real problem is the shallowness or non-existence of our love for each other. Those who are believers will hear the call and be “eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (v. 3). There will be opposition, but we cannot allow anything to discourage us from giving everything we have to the pursuit of unity.

Rediscover Jesus

How well do you know Jesus? I think about this often, and I always come to the same realization. I don’t know Jesus anywhere near as well as I would like to know him. The desire is there, but life gets in the way. There are times when I seem to be making great progress, and other times when I wonder if I know him at all. This was very good. Highly recommend.

The Amaranth Enchantment

When Lucinda Chapdelaine was a small child, her parents left for the royal ball and never returned. Ever since, Lucinda has been stuck in perpetual servitude at her evil aunt's jewelry store. Then, on the very same day, a mysterious visitor and an even more bizarre piece of jewelry both enter the shop, setting in motion a string of twists and turns that will forever alter Lucinda's path.

In this magical story filled with enchanting surprises, Lucinda will dance at the royal ball, fall under the Amaranth Witch's spell, avenge her parents' death, restore justice to a town that does not yet know the corrupt danger around them, and maybe - just maybe - Lucinda might capture the heart of a prince.

I really enjoyed this book. It was similar to Cinderella but even better than that.

Hot Cocoa Hearts

Emery Mason hates the holidays. She’s so over tinsel, secret Santas, and excessive cheer. To make matters worse, her parents are forcing her to work as an elf in their Santa photo booth at the mall. Then she meets Alejandro Perez, who works at the hot cocoa shop next door. He’s so annoyingly full of the holiday spirit he should be the one wearing an elf get-up! But the more time Emery spends with Alex, the more she realizes she might not be the Grinch she thinks she is. When a Secret Santa surprise turns her world upside down, will Emery finally embrace the magic of the season? Or will she miss her chance to kiss the perfect boy under the mistletoe? This was really cute and I really enjoyed it.

The Christian's Journey Through Grief: How to Walk Through the Valley With Hope

Don't Get Over It. Get Through It. This book will give you the tools to walk through the process of grief in a healthy way. Helps readers distinguish between normal and unhealthy grieving, and provides practical steps to maintain physical health, emotional health, and relationships while grieving, It also offers guidance for working through the crisis of faith grief and specific steps the grieving can take toward healing. The apostle Paul said Christians do not grieve in the same way as those who do not have hope (1 Thess. 4:13). But that doesn’t mean we don’t or shouldn’t grieve. In this book, she addresses: What to expect while grieving, what is normal and abnormal grief, how to deal with the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of grief, how grief affects one’s relationship with God, which steps the grieving person can take toward healing, and how the hope of eternity helps in the journey of grief.

Teacups in the Mud

This collection reflects the author's realization of what we hold on to, for whatever reasons, is not worth its weight; that the sooner we lighten the load, the freer and more content we become.
